BLUE ASH, Ohio — Event organizers for Red, White and Blue Ash were afraid Monday night the day's stormy weather would scare away crowds, but they had nothing to worry about.

Tens of thousands of people packed Summit Park for the annual show, and it ended with a big bang.

The rain held off throughout the performances by Eagles cover band Hotel California and headliner Styx, much to the delight of audience members.

“I grew up with Styx,” said Jeff Wiles of Liberty Township. “They were my favorite band in my high school years.”

About 150,00 people attend Red, White and Blue Ash each year, and Monday's crowd was as large as ever.

“It’s a great atmosphere, and the weather turned out great,” said Bob Honebrink, an attendee from Springfield Township. “This is awesome. I love it."
