Local and federal authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a hit-skip driver and a vehicle that struck a Cleveland police officer during All-Star Week.
Video shows on July 6 at about 4 a.m., a 2019 White Jeep Compass, Altitude, with a black roof and black rims, struck a Cleveland police officer conducting traffic.
From the time of the incident until now, the vehicle could have likely undergone repairs to its front end. It's also possible the vehicle still has front end damage from hitting the officer.
"With it being the All Star weekend - the vehicle and driver could be outside of our immediate territory," said Vicki Anderson, of the FBI.
The Cleveland Division of the FBI is matching a current reward from Crimestoppers of $7,500, for a total of up to $15,000, for information that leads to an arrest of the driver responsible.
