CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio — The Clermont Senior Services (CSS) has set up a pantry for seniors in case of an emergency, and now CSS is asking for donations to help stock the shelves.

"In response to the needs of our most vulnerable community members, Clermont Senior Services is establishing an emergency needs pantry," CSS Communications and Development Manager Jennifer Harcourt wrote in a release.

The following items are some of the most needed in the CSS pantry:

  • Nonperishable food items
  • Disposable adult briefs (pull ups)
  • Disposable under pads (chux)
  • Toilet paper
  • Kleenex/paper towels
  • Cleaning supplies; however, no bleach. But Clorox wipes are OK
  • Personal care items
  • Pet food

If you have items you want to donate, you can drop them off between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Lois Brown Dale Welcome Center at 2085 James E Sauls Sr. Drive, in Batavia, Ohio. You can also call 513-536-4022 or email CSS at jharcourt@clermontseniors.com to have CSS come out to pick up the items.

The pantry will be open to people 60 years old or older and who live in Clermont County.

CSS also asked that if you are a senior or if you know a senior in Clermont County who needs or would like help, please call 513-724-1255 and ask to speak to the intake coordinator.
