BATAVIA, Ohio -- A man pleaded guilty Tuesday to rape and kidnap in a case involving a 12-year-old victim.
Gary James Jr., 37, picked the child up from Pickerington, Ohio and took her to his home in Clermont County where he “engaged in sex acts,” according to the Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney on Wednesday.
During the investigation of the case, information gathered by the New Richmond Police Department was turned over to the Regional Electronic Computer Intelligence Task Force for forensic analysis.
James was sentenced to 25 years to life and labeled as a Tier III sex offender.
