NEWPORT, Ky. — An inmate from the Campbell County Detention Center is wanted by police after he walked away from his work assignment, according to police.
The Kentucky State Police said George Gattis, 36, was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday near 200 Riverboat Road in Newport, Kentucky.
Gattis is about 5-foot-11-inches tall, weighs about 170 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. He was in jail for theft and probation violation charges.
