MELBOURNE, Ky. -- The kennels at the Campbell County Animal Shelter were completely full Monday morning. By Tuesday, every dog in the building had a "furever" home.
The shelter put out a call on Facebook to "clear the kennels" and waived dog adoption fees until Saturday.
Workers were too busy handling all the adoptions to give an update until Tuesday afternoon:
"We did it!! Every available dog in the building has been adopted and everyone that isn't available is on hold for adoption."
Adoption fees are still waived until Saturday, though a $5 dog license still applies for Campbell County residents. The shelter also waived adoption fees for adult cats -- most of them have been adopted, but a few are still looking for a home.
"We are so excited about all the new homes for these babies," the shelter's post said.
