TRENTON, Ohio -- Police reported a missing Trenton teenager was found safe Tuesday -- more than two months after her initial disappearance.
“I’m ecstatic about it,” said her aunt Nina Berry. “I know that she’s safe."
Loretta Norvell, 17, vanished from her bedroom on Dartmouth Street on the night of Jan. 14, according to family. Police said she may have left in the night to meet her boyfriend and someone else at a gas station, but she never arrived.
Berry struggled during the months-long search to keep hope alive that her niece would return safely. Tuesday night, after she learned that Norvell was on her way home, Berry said she could barely contain her happiness.
"Words can’t even describe it," she said, noting that she hadn't yet seen her niece in person. She would not comment on where or how Loretta was found because it is an ongoing investigation.
