TRENTON, Ohio — The Butler County Coroner's Office identified the woman who died after a house fire in Trenton Wednesday.
Casey Lykins, 45, died as a result of smoke inhalation, according to the coroner. The manner of death is pending investigation.
Trenton Fire Chief Brian Sebald said crews responded to a fire at a home at 712 W. Aberdeen Drive in Trenton just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Sebald said when crews arrived, they immediately searched the area. Crews rescued a dog before entering the home and finding an unresponsive woman upstairs.

AirCare was called and the crew pronounced the woman dead just before 5:30 p.m., according to Sebald.
Sebald said two firefighters had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Officials did not say what caused the fire.
The investigation into the fire is ongoing. Butler County Fire Investigation and State Fire Marshal are investigating.
