OXFORD, Ohio – Three men have been arrested and charged with a total of 15 counts of rape and 57 other felony counts in a February attack.
“This is a very brutal rape case. One of the worst this office has seen,” Butler County Prosecutor Michael Gmoser told the Journal-News.
The assault occurred in a residence off the Miami University campus while the female victim was visiting Oxford on Feb. 11 and 12, according to the indictment.
• Roger Richard Michael Simpson, 23, of Cincinnati, is charged with 23 felony crimes, including 10 counts of rape, sexual battery, complicity to rape and kidnapping.
• Eliljah Lee Mincy, 21, no address available, is also charged with 23 felony crimes, including three counts of rape, complicity to rape, sexual battery, kidnapping and complicity to rape.
• Rodney Adrian Louis Gibson II, 21, of Cincinnati is charged with 26 crimes, including two counts of rape, sexual battery, kidnapping and complicity to rape.
The three men are scheduled to appear in court Monday for arraignment.
The 72-count indictment was handed down by a grand jury on June 14, but it was sealed until the suspects were arrested, according to Gmoser.
Simpson, Mincy and Gibson are not currently Miami University students, according a university spokesperson.
