OXFORD, Ohio -- Oxford police arrested a 22-year-old man on 11 counts after he was found with counterfeit bills and a bulk supply of Xanax.

Nikolaus Lehnertz is charged with five counts of forgery, five counts of criminal simulation and one count of possession of criminal tools.

Oxford police began investigating an influx of counterfeit $20 bills appearing at businesses in Oxford, according to a press release from the department. Detectives found 32 counterfeit $20 bills in Lehnertz's residence in the 400 block of University Avenue.

When searching the suspect's car, police found "over 400 suspected Xanax pills" in his car. Lehnertz wasn't charged on any drug related charges, police said, pending a crime lab analysis of the pills.
