CINCINNATI -- Four Oxford middle school students were able to get away after police say a man tried to lure them into some woods.
Police said that on Dec. 16 at about 3:36, they received reports of a suspicious man approaching students on their way home from school.
According to the students, the man tried to lure them into a wooded area in the 1100 block of South Locust Street.
The kids instead ran from the area and told adults about the incident.
Police said an investigation ended with the arrest of 46-year-old Franklin McAllister.
McAllister faces four counts of criminal child enticement -- a first-degree misdemeanor. He is being held at the Butler County Jail.
