COLLEGE CORNER, Ohio — The man who died after a boat capsized at Hueston Woods State Park Tuesday has been identified, the Journal-News reports, as Jerald Parlett, 65, of Miamisburg, according to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.
Parlett and another man were in the boat when it capsized, sending both into the water, Sheriff Mike Simpson said in a media release Wednesday.
Investigators believe Parlett might have suffered a medical emergency when he went into the water and became unresponsive, Simpson said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to be completed by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office Wednesday.
