MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — A fatal crash involving a pedestrian closed southbound I-75 near Middletown Thursday morning, according to dispatchers and Ohio transportation officials.
Crews responded to the crash near State Route 122 at approximately 5:17 a.m. After a preliminary investigation, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a woman was crossing the road from the east when a vehicle struck her in the middle lanes.
The Warren County Coroner pronounced the woman, 32-year-old Stephanie Roach of Middletown, dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, OSHP said.
