MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Police are defending geese from harassment at a Middletown city park.

The Middletown Police Department says it’s received complaints about people bothering the birds at Smith Park.

In a post on the department’s Facebook page, police are telling people who’ve been throwing rocks or trying to run the geese over to stop.

"Not only are there laws against it, but if they attack you, they may pluck your eyeballs out," the post says. "Some big ones over there... Bite your heads off."
