Slick roads on a Butler County bridge caused a multi-vehicle crash on Ohio Route 73 on Sunday, fire and police officials said.

The Butler County Sheriff said 12 vehicles total were involved in the crash that closed the bridge between Trenton and Middletown Sunday morning. Nine of the 12 cars were towed.

Four people were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries.

Crews treated the bridge at approximately 9 a.m. after clearing the crash.

The OH-73 bridge has since reopened, according to 9 On Your Side media partner the Journal-News.
