14-year-old hit by vehicle near Lakota East freshman campus

Butler County sheriff, deputies face federal lawsuit

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 14-year-old was hospitalized with minor injuries after he was hit by a vehicle near the Lakota East freshman campus.

The boy stepped into the street at the intersection of Bethany Road and Liberty Court, and then was hit by the vehicle, according to Sgt. Kim Peters with the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

The driver stopped at the scene and is not facing charges at this time, Peters said.

The boy was driven to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for treatment.
