HAMILTON, Ohio -- A man faces 13 charges after authorities said he stole a Fairfield police cruiser Saturday and fled from officers.

Police arrested Kevin M. Gabbard, 37, late Sunday afternoon, according to Hamilton Police's public information office. Gabbard was charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of theft, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of robbery with a threat of force, one count of impersonating a police officer, resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and obstructing official business.

Officers stopped a white van at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Hamilton Middletown Road that was spotted leaving the Bridgewater Falls Target after several TV’s were stolen, according to arrest reports.

Fairfield Township Detective Brandon McCroskey said Shauna Marie Maco, 46, remained in the vehicle, but the passenger, Gabbard, fled. McCroskey said an officer chased Gabbard as he ran around a home, returned to where he had been stopped, jumped in the police cruiser and drove off.

The vehicle was found shortly after, McCroskey said, on Central Avenue in Hamilton.

Police were looking for Gabbard Saturday night and Sunday. Detectives said Gabbard "should be considered armed and dangerous."

Shauna Marie Maco, 46, was arrested Saturday on charges of complicity to commit theft.

Maco was arrested on charges of complicity to commit theft, McCroskey said, and multiple charges are pending on both subjects.
