BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio -- A judge on Thursday issued bond for a woman charged in the death of her baby.

Saralin April Walden, 25, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangering in the Oct. 28 death of her baby, according to court documents.

Prosecutors said the child was injured on Oct. 23 and was pronounced dead at a Cincinnati hospital five days later, The Journal-News reported.

Officials have not released information regarding the gender or age of the child.

Walden did not have an attorney present in court on Thursday; a judge entered not guilty pleas for her.

A judge set bond at $50,000. Walden will appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing.

“I plan, if I do get out, on getting mental health treatment … because I really need it,” Walden said.
