HAMILTON, Ohio -- A man who walked away from a work detail at the Butler County Jail on Tuesday was caught and back in jail Wednesday, according to Sheriff Richard Jones.

Cesco James Earl Wilson, 37, walked away from the jail while working an outside detail.

Deputies found Wilson in the back bedroom of a Middletown home, according to WCPO news partner the Journal-News.

There had been a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Wilson, of Middletown.

An informant tipped off authorities to Wilson's whereabouts, Sgt. Ed Panner told the Journal-News. He said the informant will likely receive the $1,000 reward.

He was being held on a charge from common pleas court and had a hearing scheduled for Thursday morning, authorities said.

Wilson will be charged with escape.

Authorities are also investigating how Wilson got to Middletown, Panner told the Journal-News.
