GEORGETOWN, Ohio — A pedestrian was struck and killed on U.S. Route 68 in Brown County Saturday evening, according to police.
The accident happened near a gas station at the intersection of Route 68 and Wahlsburg East Rd. around 7:52 p.m.
Police said a woman was in the middle of the road when the driver of a truck traveling north on Route 68 hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The driver remained on scene and officials said the crash is still under investigation.
