GEORGETOWN, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash between a motorcycle and a farming tractor on U.S. Route 68 Saturday afternoon.

Officials said the crash happened around 2:10 p.m. on Saturday when 67-year-old Gary Moore hit the back wheel of a tractor while on a motorcycle. Police said, although he was wearing a helmet when he crashed, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Moore was driving his 2007 Harley Davidson Road King north on Route 68. A 1977 John Deere farm tractor was also going north on the same road, according to police. OSHP said the tractor was trying to make a left turn into a private driveway at the same time Moore tried to pass it on the left, and Moore collided with one of the tractor's rear tires.

The tractor driver was not injured in the incident, and police have not said whether any charges will be fired in connection with the crash. Police said the tractor was displaying a "slow moving vehicle" sign and had warning flashers at the time of the crash.
