WALTON, Ky. -- A woman is dead after a rollover crash on northbound I-75 Saturday, according to police.
The crash occurred around 4:35 p.m. Saturday on northbound I-75 near mile marker 176, police said.
Angela Wood, 56, of Independence, was pronounced dead at the scene after police say a 1998 Ford Explorer, operated by Mercedes Daniels, 58, of Independence, experienced a tire malfunction, exited the highway and rolled over multiple times into a tree line.
Daniels was ejected from the vehicle, and an 8-year-old passenger in the back seat also sustained injuries.
Daniels was transported to UCMC with life-threatening injuries. The 8-year-old passenger was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
