BOONE COUNTY, Ky. — A power outage has caused three Boone County schools to close early Friday.
Goodridge Elementary, Conner Middle and Conner High Schools will dismiss early. According to the district's website, parents can pick up their children at any time.
Bus services will be available to students at Conner Middle and High Schools beginning at 11:30 a.m. Bus services for Goodridge Elementary will begin at 12:30 p.m. this afternoon.
According to Sally Thelen, communications manager with Duke Energy, a car accident on Petersburg Road caused the power outage.
