WINCHESTER, Ky. -- Human remains found off Kentucky Highway 60 last week were identified as Robert Jones, the Florence man reported missing in early July.

The body was found in some tall grass off of I-64 at about 12:30 p.m. Friday, WTVQ reported. Kentucky State Police said Jones was identified through dental records, but additional testing is needed to determine a cause of death.

Jones, 38, and his girlfriend Crystal J. Warner, 35, were last seen in Springfield, Kentucky on July 3.

Police have already made an arrest in the disappearance of Jones and Warner. Craig Pennington of Springfield was charged with murder in the case July 8. Pennington was also indicted on several other charges, including kidnapping, tampering with evidence, theft, terroristic threatening, abuse of a corpse and menacing.

Jones and Warner's car was found July 8 off Interstate 75 in Scott County. That same day, Kentucky State Police arrested Pennington in connection with their deaths.
