FLORENCE, Ky. -- A man died when he crashed his motorcycle off the left side of Pleasant Valley Road in a residential area around 2:30 a.m. Thursday outside Florence.
Jason Kloeker, 35, of Florence, was traveling westbound in the 7800-block of Pleasant Valley Road when he crossed the double-yellow line and drove off the left side of the road into a ditch. His 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle continued through the ditch, struck multiple wood fences and threw Kloeker from the vehicle.
Deputies attempted to resuscitate Kloeker, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police shut down the road for more than three hours to investigate and clean up the crash scene on Pleasant Valley Road near Woodcreek Drive.
Speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the collision. The collision is being investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit.
