BURLINGTON, Ky. -- The unemployment rate in Kentucky remains steady at 5.1 percent, slightly higher than the national average, but employers want to put you to work.
Fifty-four employers from Northern Kentucky need to hire more than 2,000 people and will be looking for them from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Boone County Public Library at 1786 Burlington Pike.
There are jobs available in just about every field including health care, transportation, business, finance and manufacturing. You'll find employers like St. Elizabeth Physicians, Aerotek, FedEx, Chick-Fil-A and Adecco Staffing.
Jobs start at $10 an hour, which is almost three dollars above Kentucky's minimum wage. Some positions offer six-figure salaries.
Bring your resume, if you have one, and dress for success.
Overflow parking is at the nearby Kroger store. The event is free to the public, but they do ask that you bring a canned good to be donated to the Brighton Center Food Pantry.
