CINCINNATI — Keep your cellphone handy, credit card in your wallet and be ready to bargain shop starting in September.

Amazon’s Treasure Truck program will hit the streets of the Queen City next month, selling discounted products out of the back of the truck several days a week.

Bargain shoppers will be able to sign up for text alerts by texting “truck” to 24193 to learn about each day’s truck treasure. The truck will sell just one product a day at a discount. After receiving the alert, shoppers can place their Treasure Truck order on Amazon and select a pickup location and time slot to get that day’s deal, according to an Amazon press release.

Amazon currently operates a fleet of more than 100 Treasure Trucks and kiosks in 25 U.S. cities. A Treasure Truck also will be rolling into Columbus next month.
