As the weather warms up, many Tri-State communities offer just the thing to get residents outdoors --Easter egg hunts. 

From toddlers to young-at-heart adults, children with special needs to canine "fur babies," there's an egg hunt for everyone.  

OHIO

Butler County

Fairfield:

  • Hoppin' at Harbin: 10:30 a.m.-noon March 24 at Harbin Park, 1300 Hunter Road; ages 0-8; hunt begins at 11 a.m.; other activities include Easter Bunny visits, games, crafts and face painting; no registration required;
  • Easter Extravaganza: noon-1 p.m. March 30 at Village Green Park, 301 Wessel Drive; ages 0-5; other activities include stories, songs and Easter Bunny visits; must register 513-858-3238, ext. 1321.

Fairfield Township:

  • Egg Orienteering: 5-7 p.m. March 24 at Rentschler Forest MetroPark, 5701 Reigart Road; beginners-advanced; use a detailed map to navigate checkpoints and collect Easter eggs; $4/child; $7/ Orienteering Cincinnati member; $10 non-members;
  • Dog Gone Bone Hunt: noon to 4 p.m. March 25 at Rentschler Forest MetroPark, 5701 Reigart Road; plastic bags filled with dog treats, golden eggs can be redeemed for prizes; other activities include dog-friendly vendors, rescue center representatives and Easter Bunny visits; registration requested, not required.

Hamilton:

  • Flashlight Egg Hunt: 8:30-11 p.m. March 23 at Forest Run MetroPark, 1810 New London Road; ages 3-12; $5/child; must register by March 21 here.

Liberty Township:

  • Helicopter Egg Drop: 9-11 a.m. March 24 at The River's Building, 5546 Cincinnati-Dayton Road; 2 years old through fifth grade; other activities include games, activities, pictures with Mr. or Mrs. Cottontail; free;
  • Spring Celebration: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 25 at Liberty Center, 7100 Foundry Row; ages 0-10; includes Sensory Easter Bunny Event for children with sensory sensitivity from 10 a.m.-noon; Golden Egg Scavenger Hunt starts at noon on Facebook;
  • Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m.-noon March 31 at Liberty Park, 6757 Yankee Road; ages 0-8 free.

Middletown:

  • Community Easter Egg Hunt: noon-1 p.m. March 24 at Sunset Park, 2698 Milton Road;
