Music

A New Stage in History: Starts at 8 p.m. Dec. 31. Cincinnati Music Hall, 1241 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $25-$115. Ring in the new year with the Cincinnati Pops featuring jazz vocalist Morgan James.

The Woodward NYE: Blessid Union of Souls: 6:30 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. The Woodward Theater, 1404 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. $35 in advance. Ages 21 and up. Welcome the new year with performances by Blessid Union of Souls, Room for Zero and the Roger Klug Power Trio.

New Year's Eve NOIR & Beat Faction: 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. The Southgate House Revival, 111 E. Sixth St., Newport. $5 for ages 21 and up; $7 for 18- to 20-year-olds. The Pandora Society invites everyone to ring in the new year with Beat Faction. Dance the night away to classic goth and alternative 1980s music.

Restaurants

A Very Gatsby New Year's Eve: 6:30 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Grand Central Delicatessen, 6085 Montgomery Road, Pleasant Ridge. $40-$80. Choose between three different meals: the Early Bird from 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Dinner and Dance, which starts at 8 p.m.; or the After Dinner Dance Party, which starts at 10:30 p.m. The first two options include a three-course meal and bottle of wine. Dinner and Dance and the After Dinner Dance Party include party favors, a midnight toast and late-night bites. The Queen City Soul Club will provide live entertainment.

Fifty West NYE Beer Dinner: 6 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Fifty West Brewing, 7668 Wooster Pike, Columbia Township. $55. The evening begins with a cocktail and beer reception at 6 p.m., followed by a four-course meal at 7 p.m. made by Fifty West executive chef John Tomain and brewmaster Chris Siegman.

New Year's Eve at Zula: 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Zula, 1400 Race St., Over-the-Rhine. Zula will be open late, serving its regular menu and special featured dishes to those ringing in 2018. 

New Year's Eve Celebration: 6 p.m.-midnight Dec. 31. Jean-Robert's Table, 713 Vine St., Downtown. $85 first seating with optional $40 wine pairing; $145 second seating with optional $60 wine pairing. Say goodbye to 2017 with either a three- or five-course meal. The restaurant is offering two seatings with different pre-fixed menus. Reservations required.

New Year's Eve with the Ultra Sonics: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Jeff Ruby's Carlo & Johnny, 9769 Montgomery Road, Montgomery. Eat well and enjoy great music with the Ultra Sonics.

New Year's Eve at Mita's: 5-11:30 p.m. Dec. 31. Mita's, 501 Race St., Downtown. Dine at Mita's before enjoying other New Year's Eve festivities. Reservations required.

New Year's Eve at Salazar: 5-11:30 p.m. Dec. 31. Salazar, 1401 Republic St., Over-the-Rhine. $90 per person with optional $45 wine pairing. Enjoy a five-course menu with three seatings available.

New Year's Eve with Swingtime Big Band: 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Dec. 31. York Street Cafe, 738 York St., Newport. $25. A 17-piece big band and two vocalists will swing you into the new year.

Kiss Off 2017 NYE Party: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Bar Louie, 3100 Vandercar Way, Oakley. $10-$50. Enjoy a night of music, drinks and food.

Community events

Rumpke Mountain Boys' 2 Night New Year's Eve Ball: 7 p.m. Dec. 30 and 31. 20th Century Theater, 3021 Madison Road, Oakley. $100 VIP; $35 two-day pass; $15 advance purchase or $20 day-of Dec. 30; $25 advance or $30 day-of Dec. 31. The 20th Century Theater is making New Year's Eve a two-day event featuring the Rumple Mountain Boys. VIP admission for both evenings include two drink tickets, hors d'oeuvres on New Year's Eve, balcony and balcony bar access and a Rumpke Mountain Boys' gift package.

New Year's Eve Blast: 6 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Fountain Square, Fifth and Vine streets, Downtown. Free. Ring in the new year with family and friends on Fountain Square. The ice skating rink will be open, and food and drink vendors will be on site.  Mix 94.9 will host.

Happy Zoo Year: 5-9 p.m. Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, 3400 Vine St., Avondale. Included with zoo admission. Feel like a true "party animal" during the Happy Zoo Year festivities at the Cincinnati Zoo. Enjoy the Festival of Lights, Madcap Puppets, party favors and costume characters before an early new year countdown and fireworks show at 8:55 p.m.

Mount Healthy's New Year's Eve Gala: 7 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Kolping Cincinnati, 10235 Mill Road, Springfield Township. $50. Ages 21 and up. Help Mount Healthy ring in both the new year and its bicentennial. The evening starts with hors d'oeuvres, followed by a buffet dinner, dancing, cake, party favors, drinks, music and a Champagne toast at midnight.

Ring in the new year with the Bell Event Centre: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. The Bell Event Centre, 444 Reading Road, Pendleton. $100 per person; $700 per table of eight. The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, open bar, dessert, midnight Champagne toast, popcorn bar, party favors, a photobooth, DJ and parking.

New Year's Eve Pop-Up Champagne Bar: 6-10 p.m. Dec. 31. Corkopolis, 640 Main St., Downtown. Stop by Corkopolis and enjoy Champagne and caviar.

NYE at QCE: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Queen City Exchange, 32 W. Court St., Downtown. $100. Ages 21 and up. The price of admission includes an open bar, appetizer buffet, DJ and Champagne toast at midnight.

New Year's Eve Party at West Side Brewing Co.: Starts at 5 p.m. Dec. 31. West Side Brewing, 3044 Harrison Ave., Westwood. Ring in 2018 with craft beer and Drunken Hog BBQ.  

NSYC New Year's Eve: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Northside Yacht Club, 4227 Spring Grove Ave., Northside. $7 in advance; $10 day of show. Six local bands will rock into 2018. Rhinegeist will take over the bar's taps, and there will be a midnight toast with Rhinegeist's Bubbles.

New Year's Eve with Lost Celts: 9:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Molly Malone's, 6111 Montgomery Road, Pleasant Ridge. British folk and American acoustic band Lost Celts will help ring in the new year.

New Year's Eve at MadTree: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. MadTree, 3301 Madison Road, Oakley. Ages 21 and up. MadTree will open its Barrel Warehouse for a private party that includes beer, a full bar, dinner by the bite, a photobooth, live music, DJ Maize and a Champagne toast.

NYE at Howl at the Moon & Splitsville Lanes: 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Howl at the Moon, 145 E. Second St., Downtown. $35 per person or group packages available. Ring in 2018 with live music, bowling, drinks and food.

Black Light Ball: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Urban Artifact, 1660 Blue Rock St., Northside. Ages 21 and up. $65 for open bar and upstairs admission; $15 for designated drivers. Urban Artifact will transform its upstairs sanctuary into a black light masquerade with music by DJ Bit Flip. Come dressed in your best glow-friendly wardrobe.

NYE at NST: 8-11 p.m. Dec. 31. Northside Tavern, 4163 Hamilton Ave., Northside. Free. Rock in the new year with 500 Miles to Memphis and Red Hot Rebellion.

New Year's Eve Ball at Mount Adams Pavilion: 9 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Mount Adams Pavilion, 949 Pavilion St., Mount Adams. Ages 21 and up. $40 in advance; $50 at the door. The Pavilion's resident DJs will rock the main floor and penthouse while you enjoy party favors, an hors d'oeuvres buffet and a Champagne toast at midnight. Cocktail attire preferred.

Rhinegeist NYE 2018: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Rhinegeist, 1910 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $20. Rhinegeist will transform into a New Year's Eve wonderland with music by DJ Matt Joy in the taproom and Jesse Lamb and the Factory in the event space. There also will be a photobooth, midnight balloon drop, new lounge seating and eats from Sartre OTR.

Taft's New Year's Bash 2018: 7 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Taft's Ale House, 1429 Race St., Over-the-Rhine. $50 general admission,  $100 per person mezzanine table. General admission includes a welcome beverage, a glass of special beer tapped at midnight, buffet dinner and access to the main floor's general seating. Mezzanine-level admission guarantees the above, plus reserved seating near the dance floor.

New Year's Eve at the Stretch: 9 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. The Stretch, 191 E. Freedom Way, Downtown. $20. Ages 21 and up. Get access to the Stretch's doughnut bar and enjoy a DJ and Champagne toast while watching the ball drop on the bar's 120-inch screen.

New Year's Eve at the Rook: 8 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Dec. 31. The Rook, 1115 Vine St., Over-the-Rhine. $16. Ages 21 and up. Play games while enjoying food and drink specials before a Champagne toast at midnight.

New Year's Eve at Igby's: An Elegant Affair: 9 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Igby's, 122 E. Sixth St., Downtown. $30. Ages 21 and up. Dress in your best cocktail attire for the annual New Year's Eve party at Igby's. DJ Ice Cold Tony will spin music. Raise a toast of Perrier Jouet Grand Brut Champagne for $65 a bottle. An $880 VIP package includes three bottles of Grey Goose and two bottles of Perrier Jouet, while a $515 premium package includes three bottles of Tito's Vodka and two bottles of Perrier Jouet.

New Year's Eve with ISWHAT?!: 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31. MOTR, 1345 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. Rock in the new year with ISWHAT?!, BioniC, Stallitix and DJ Apryl Reign.

New Year's Eve Bash: Noon-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Brink Brewing Co., 5905 Hamilton Ave., College Hill. Free. Ring in the new year with craft beer and live music at Brink Brewing. The bands will start playing at 1 p.m. and continue until the ball drops at midnight.

NYE at Tin Roof: 8 p.m.-3 a.m. Dec. 31. Tin Roof, 160 E. Freedom Way, Downtown. $25-$200. Ages 21 and up. Enjoy free party favors, music by Flip Cup All-Stars, a confetti canon and Champagne toast. Single admission is $25. For $200 get entry and a VIP reserved table for four. 

New Year's Eve Crafts-Querade: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Higher Gravity, 4106 Hamilton Ave., Northside. $60. Craft beer and cocktail drinkers unite. Higher Gravity's New Year's Eve party will feature an open bar with local craft beers in cans, drafts, wines, cocktails and a midnight toast with Rhinegeist Bubbles. There may be a few craft games as well.

No-Stress NYE at the Roosevelt Room: 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. The Roosevelt Room, 7500 Bales St., Liberty Township. Free. The bar will open early and distribute party favors, and a DJ will play music counting down to the big ball drop.

Drink in the New Year: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. The Drinkery, 1150 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. Free. 21 and over. Dance, sing and drink in the new year. Free champagne toast at midnight.

Second Annual New Years Eve and Chill: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Queen City Radio, 222 W. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine. Free. Join the staff of Queen City Radio for a completely chill New Year's Eve. No cover, no reservation and no frills. Just drinks, burgers and a toast at midnight.

New Year's In The Gold Ballroom: 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. The Overlook Lodge, 6083 Montgomery Road, Pleasant Ridge. Enjoy complimentary bites, signature cocktails, bubbly midnight toast and live music by DJ Soul Step Records at the lodge.

New Year's Eve at the Harth Lounge: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Bromwell's Harth Lounge, 125 W. 4th St., Downtown. $25-$35. Ring in the new year in an intimate setting with  live music by Emmaline, an alternative 4-piece, R&B group featuring vocalist Emmaline Campbell. Admission guarantees one free drink. Light bites and drink served throughout the evening. 

New Year’s Eve at the Hi-Mark: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. The Hi-Mark, 3229 Riverside Drive, Columbia Tusculum. Free admission or $100 VIP package. Ring in the new year with music by Druskii, DJ Hector and friends. Splurge for the VIP package and enjoy exclusive VIP open bar, a selection of appetizers and party favors

Parties 

The 9th Annual New Year's Eve Speakeasy Party: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Know Theatre, 1120 Jackson St., Over-the-Rhine. $40. Ring in the new year like it's 1923. Dress as a flapper, wear a fedora and sip Manhattans while dancing to jazz.

Pavilion Caprice Party: 7 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, 35 W. Fifth St., Downtown. $168.05. The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza is re-creating the hotel's 1931 grand opening. The evening includes a buffet, unlimited sparkling wine centerpiece, music, a midnight Champagne toast and balloon drop. The best-dressed couple also will win dinner for two at Orchids.

All that Glitters New Year's Eve Party: 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Jack Casino, 1000 Broadway St., Downtown. $50. Ages 21 and up. Jack Casino will rock with live entertainment from Jessica the Ripper and DJ ETrayn. The price of admission includes two drink tickets as well.

Night at the Museum 2018: 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Contemporary Arts Center, 44 E. Sixth St., Downtown. Ages 21 and up. $150 VIP tickets; $100 general admission. DJ Karnyge, DJ Fusemania and DJ Grayc will supply the dance music. There also will be an open bar all night, complimentary Champagne toast and party favors for all guests. VIP tickets grant early access to the bar, access to the CAC's third level, a private bar and complimentary Buzzed Bull Creamery alcohol-infused ice cream.

New Year's Eve Party at Hotel Covington: 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Hotel Covington, 638 Madison Ave., Covington. $15 in advance; $25 at the door; $250 VIP experience; $599 pampered New Year's Eve experience, including hotel reservation. Celebrate the new year with a Champagne toast, $45 Champagne bottles, $10 Coppin's Old Fashioneds, $10 Tropical Voids, $5 craft beer and $9 glasses of wine. The VIP experience includes a seven-course dinner and open bar. The pampered experience includes room reservation, seven-course meal, late night snack box and dry cleaning service.

New Year's Eve Cruise: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. B&B Riverboats, 101 Riverboat Row, Newport. $105 adult general admission; $65 children ages 4-12. Ring in the new year with a beautiful view from the Ohio River. The cruise includes a dinner buffet, entertainment, Champagne at midnight, a late-night snack buffet and party favors.

Q102's First New Year's Eve at the Newport Syndicate: 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Newport Syndicate, 18 E. Fifth St., Newport. $80-$150. Ages 21 and up. Dine, drink and dance in the new year with the Rusty Griswolds, Q102's DJ Mark McFadden, party favors and food. Choose one of four packages ranging in price and party perks.

Glitter + Glam: A NYE Drag Spectacular: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. 21c Museum Hotel, 609 Walnut St., Downtown. $35. Ages 21 and up. Ring in the new year with host Jessica Dimon and DJ Charlee. Admission price includes two drink tickets, access to a photobooth, dancing and three drag shows. Metropole will provide bar snacks and cocktails. 

LURE - A New Year's Eve Masquerade: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Memorial Hall, 1225 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $40-$120. Ages 21 and up. This black-tie and masquerade affair will include music by DJ Prymtime, DJ Blaze, DJ HD, DJ Bandcamp and special guests. General admission tickets ($40 in advance or $60 at the door) include a complimentary drink, party favors and access to the cash bar and photobooth. VIP tickets ($100 in advance or $120 at the door) include premium lounge seating, a private, top-shelf open bar, Champagne toast, private cuisine by Bauer Farm Kitchen, party favors and photobooth access.
