NEWPORT, Ky. — The WAVE Foundation at the Newport Aquarium is asking a young donor named Tyler and their family to come forward so the foundation can properly thank them for a donation sent in the mail.
Tyler wrote in the letter, “I am donate my money to help your animals. It may not be much but I want to help.”
Tyler sent $5 to the foundation, the nonprofit partner of Newport Aquarium.
Lauren Beatty, PR & Conservation Education Coordinator, said the foundation “would love to meet Tyler,” and let Tyler know that the foundation will be matching Tyler’s $5 donation with a $5,000 donation to support shark, African penguin, or sea turtle conservation.
The only information the foundation has is a zip code.
The nonprofit posted Tyler’s handwritten note on social media, writing, “We are blown away by your heart kiddo, and we’d love to meet you!”
The WAVE Foundation is encouraging everyone to #BeLikeTyler.
