OXFORD, Ohio — Miami University officials issued a coronavirus travel advisory Saturday, restricting all travel to China, Italy and South Korea and urging students in those countries to return to the USA to complete their studies.

Those countries are all listed at Level 3 by the state department and the Centers for Disease Control, urging people to reconsider travel to the areas due to the high number of confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19.

The university said all China-based programs have been canceled for the immediate future.

Miami University Director of News & Public Information Claire Wagner said the university is monitoring the fluid situation regarding the outbreak of coronavirus and will adjust their future plans accordingly.

In early February, Ohio Department of Public Health officials announced that two Miami U students being investigated for coronavirus had tested negative.
