SAN DIEGO -- Authorities are investigating an anonymous post on the website 4chan and whether it might be connected to a mass shooting at an Oregon community college.
The post has since been removed, but a cached version is out there. The post went online Wednesday afternoon and stated:
"Some of you guys are alright. Don't go to school tomorrow if you are in the northwest.
happening thread will be posted tomorrow morning
so long space robots"
A thread of comments follows the initial post and gets even more ominous.
"Will post again in am, 10 min countdown. Won't say more to much to prepare."
A gunman opened fire Thursday at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, with at least a dozen people dead and many others injured. The gunman died during an exchange of gunfire with police.
