CINCINNATI -- A man was fatally shot Wednesday night in Over-the-Rhine, and Cincinnati police are working to figure out if he might have been a would-be robber.
Officers were called to the area near Green and Vine streets at about 10 p.m., where James Mixon, 31, succumbed to his injuries despite resuscitation efforts.
Lt. Tim Brown said investigators believe they've identified the gunman -- a person who called police, told them he was being robbed and that he'd shot the man trying to rob him. The investigation is ongoing.
