LEBANON, Ohio -- A Warren County judge sentenced a Clearcreek Township man to four years in prison for the overdose death of the man's wife.

First responders found Patricia Karrick-Conner dead from a drug overdose on Jan. 27, 2017, according to Prosecutor David Fornshell. Her husband, Kevin Conner, told police that they used heroin together after he bought it.

Toxicology reports showed that Conner-Karrick died from taking a mix of fentanyl and similar drugs, according to Fornshell. Fentanyl is an opioid 50 times more potent than heroin.

Conner, 53, pleaded guilty in November to involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and aggravated possession of drugs.
