Warren County corrections officer accused of planning to take drugs into prison

LEBANON, Ohio — A corrections officer at an Ohio prison has been accused of conspiring to take drugs into a prison.

Daniel Garvey, 28, works as a corrections officer at Warren Correctional Institution and was arrested Friday, WCPO news partner the Journal-News reported.

Garvey is charged with illegal conveyance of drugs, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. He's being held in the Butler County Jail.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested Garvey at a northbound Interstate 75 rest stop in Butler County while he was en route to work, the Journal-News reported.
