WASHINGTON -- A University of Cincinnati graduate was found dead in Washington, D.C. Tuesday afternoon.

Corrina Mehiel, 34, was found bound and stabbed to death inside a Northeast, D.C. home, local ABC affiliate WJLA reported. She had been living in D.C. temporarily.

Mehiel graduated with a master's degree in fine art from UC in 2013, according to a university spokesperson. She also was an instructor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati from 2014-16, according to her website.

D.C. police said they were looking for a 2004 blue Toyota Prius with Kentucky plate 722RMY and a "yellow diamond-shaped sticker" under the plate on the bumper.
