CINCINNATI — The boyfriend of Nyteisha Lattimore, who was found stabbed to death early Saturday morning, now stands charged with killing her, abandoning her body near the Purple People Bridge and tampering with evidence to hinder investigators.

Desean Brown, 20, was arrested and charged with murder shortly after police discovered Lattimore’s body.

The new charges filed against him Friday by Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters paint a picture of what police believe he did immediately before and after 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore’s death.

Brown was charged Friday with an additional count of murder and one count each of felonious assault, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

Police believe Brown killed Lattimore in her Walnut Hills apartment sometime around Dec. 5 and abandoned her body near the bridge on Dec. 12

If convicted, Brown could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Lattimore’s 3-year-old son, Nylo, remains missing. Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Julie Wilson said police are still investigating Brown’s potential connection to the toddler’s disappearance.

Police said Lattimore and Brown had been dating at the time of her death; she posted affectionate messages about him and her son on social media in early December.

Tamara Paddock, a neighbor who lived in the same apartment complex as Lattimore and her son, said Brown had been “kicked off the property several times” for unspecified offenses.

Any person with information about Lattimore’s death or her son’s location is asked to call Cincinnati police at 513-765-1212.
