SILVER GROVE, Ky. -- The Silver Grove School District's finance director is facing a charge of stealing more than $10,000 from the district, Campbell County police announced Thursday.
Police found that "a substantial amount of money was fraudulently deposited" into a personal account of 55-year-old Sherry Ellis of Ludlow, the district's finance director.
Investigators are still working to determine the total amount that was stolen, police said.
Ellis is facing a charge of thedft by unlawful taking over $10,000.
