MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- A man is accused of hanging a cat by a rope and beating it to death, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Andrew Tyler Chilton, 19, of Middletown, is charged with cruelty to a companion animal.
“This is one of the most heinous acts of cruelty I have seen in this county,” Sheriff Richard Jones said.
The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect could face additional charges.
