Authorities arrest suspect accused of fatally shooting man in Over-the-Rhine

CINCINNATI — Authorities have arrested a suspect accused of shooting a man in Over-the-Rhine earlier this month, according to Cincinnati police.

Shalaby Keys, 38, is accused of causing the shooting death of 29-year-old Michael Nixson. Keys is accused of shooting Nixson at about 9:48 p.m. on May 1 in the 1700 block of Republic Street, Cincinnati police said.

First responders transported Nixson to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died of his injuries on May 6.

Authorities arrested Keys at about 11:50 a.m. on Monday.
