HAMILTON, Ohio -- One of the women charged with felonious assault has been arrested and appeared in Middletown Municipal Court, WCPO news partner WHIO reported.

Cheri Jackson, 24, of Middletown, appeared Wednesday morning before visiting Judge Thomas Hanna, and he set her preliminary hearing for next month.

Her bond was set at $75,000, court records show.

After an alleged attack Monday night against a 19-year-old Middletown woman was posted on Facebook, some residents expressed concern for the suspects and potential retaliation.

Middletown police issued felonious assault warrants Tuesday for the arrest of nine suspects — eight women and one man — after they allegedly assaulted a teen in a home in the 500 block of 15th Avenue, then posted a video of the attack on the Internet.

Officers were notified of an assault Monday and numerous residents contacted the department after video of the attack surfaced on Facebook, said Maj. Mark Hoffman.

Police described the incident as a beating with fists and feet and said no weapons were used. Detectives watched the video, and Lt. Jim Cunningham said police likely would not release the video because it’s evidence in an ongoing investigation.

Police issued warrants for the arrest of Jemarious White and females Justice Moore, Kierra Curry, Cheri Jackson, Chantal Helvey, Rian Buchanan, Channel White, Alexis Barge, and Kymber Leigh Calhoun, they said.

The investigation is continuing, Hoffman said. Anyone with further information is urged to contact Detective Kristi Hughes at 513-425-7737.
