OXFORD, Ohio -- Police arrested a 14-year-old who they said made a bogus bomb threat against Talawanda High School Tuesday.
Oxford police, along with Butler County deputies, Miami University police and Cincinnati police, responded to the high school after a note was found left in a student restroom at about 12:20 p.m.
Authorities searched the school but found no devices, police said.
Detectives worked with school officials and identified their 14-year-old male student suspect. He was charged with inducing panic, a second-degree felony.
The teen was sent to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police asked that parents make their children understand that panic-inducing pranks take community resources to investigate and can carry serious consequences.
