CINCINNATI -- A woman charged with murder in a fatal stabbing last month made her first court appearance Tuesday.

Tahliah Randle, 19, stabbed her boyfriend, 37-year-old Cheikh Lo, multiple times, according to Assistant Prosecutor David Wood and incident reports.

The stabbing occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on April 19 at 2744 Erlene Drive, incident reports state.

Randle's attorney, Clyde Bennett, said his client had been in contact with detectives for weeks. He asked for bond amount lower than the $500,000 or $1 million in many Hamilton County murder cases.

"This happened April 19. She's been out in the community, functioning in the community, leaving her house, going to work, going other places since April 19 and has done nothing inconsistent with the safety, health or welfare of the public," Bennett said.

Still, Municipal Court Judge Tyrone Yates set Randle's bond at $500,000, but she can post 10 percent of that amount to get out of jail until her trial.

She's scheduled to be back in court on May 24 at 10:30 a.m. for the grand jury report.
