MADEIRA, Ohio -- A woman is recovering from a gunshot wound to her lower leg after two masked men barged into her apartment at 7370 Shawnee Run Road late Wednesday night.
Chief Dave Schaefer said the men held the woman, another adult and a child at gunpoint as they rummaged through the home at about 11:30 p.m. He said the woman struggled with one of the suspects and was wounded in the process. She went to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.
Police searched the area with a K-9 unit, but couldn't locate the suspects after they fled on foot. Police were uncertain whether anything was taken from the home.
The incident is under investigation, and Madeira police ask anybody with any information to call them at 513-272-4214.
