WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A driver is at large and his passenger behind bars after an early morning police chased stretched from Lincoln Heights to West Chester Township on Thursday.

Police say an officer attempted to stop a grey 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe for a marked lanes violation around 1:51 a.m. on northbound Interstate 75 near the Shepherd Lane exit in Lincoln Heights. The vehicle stopped briefly on the left shoulder before continuing northbound on I-75.

The car exited onto Union Centre Boulevard in Butler County and continued onto Cincinnati-Dayton Road. The pursuit ended in the 6600 block of Dimmick Road where a passing train impeded the car's progress.

The two occupants fled on foot from the vehicle. West Chester Police pursued the driver and a passenger with a K-9 unit and managed to capture the passenger, 20-year-old Trevon Adams of Cincinnati. Adams was charged with obstructing official business and drug possession.

The at-large driver is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build and in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and reddish pants.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 513-825-1500 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
