LEMON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A part-time police officer was charged with OVI after deputies say he caused a multi-car crash.

Bobby Sparks, 59, was cited as the at-fault driver in a crash in on Hamilton-Lebanon Road near Yankee Road at about 9 a.m. Monday, Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones announced. Sparks was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Sparks works as a part-time officer for the Monroe Police Department.

No one else was hurt or hospitalized as a result of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
