MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – A man making a frantic 911 call said he stabbed his sister’s boyfriend to death and thought he caught it on video, the Journal-News reported.

“He’s drunk and he wouldn’t stop assaulting me. Oh my God! Oh my God!” repeated the caller, who identified himself as Zachary Fields.

When the dispatcher asked Fields where he stabbed the victim, Fields answered, “I don’t know. I have it on video, I am pretty sure."

The dispatcher also asked where the knife was.

“I don’t know. I think inside of him,” Fields said.

Fields, 19, was arrested and charged with murder in the death of Nick Kriner, 34, according to police and court records. Fields is being held in the Middletown City Jail in lieu of $1 million bond.

Kriner, 34, was stabbed in the chest at a residence on Shafor Street and died at Atrium Medical Center, according to police.

Middletown dispatchers got the 911 call shortly before 5 a.m. Friday, police said. Fields said he had warned Kriner to stay away from him.

“I have been assaulted and attacked and he would not listen to stay away from me and I stabbed him,” Fields said.
