CINCINNATI -- A Lockland man who admitted to raping and impregnating a 14-year-old girl was sentenced to 20 years in prison Friday.
Manuel Contrera-Calleja pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one count of unlawful sexual contact with a minor. He admitted, in court, to raping a girl 12 times over a three year period; the assaults began when the girl was 11.
Contrera-Calleja was arrested in August. At that time, the girl was 14 and pregnant with his child.
"I am ashamed of what I've done," he said in court. "I've destroyed every relationship. I deserve what I'm getting."
In court, the girl said she "loves (Contrera-Calleja) and forgives him."
