Laurel, Ohio reserve police officer charged with domestic abuse

LAUREL, Ohio — A police officer in the small community of Laurel was arrested and charged with domestic abuse late Tuesday night.

Twenty-nine-year-old Stetson Jones is a reserve officer with the Laurel Police Department, according to a news release from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, which arrested him after responding to reports of a domestic disturbance at his home.

Deputies discovered Jones had beaten and strangled his wife, according to the release. He stands charged with felony counts of domestic battery and strangulation.
