INDEPENDENCE, Ky. -- A husband apparently shot his wife in the head before turning the gun on himself, according to the Kenton County Police Department.
A relative found Richard Fehler, 62, and Debbie Fehler, 59, dead Saturday morning. Their bodies were inside a bedroom at their home on Moffett Road, Sgt. Chris Haddel said.
Police also recovered a handgun at the scene.
The police department hadn't released their names until Monday, as they worked to notify family members.
The investigation is considered a murder/suicide, Haddle said, with Debbie Fehler labeled a murder victim.
